Manuela Isabel Romero Gonzalez
VIOLIN
Manuela is a native Cuban-Venezuelan violinist and music educator. From a very young age, Manuela discovered her love for music in El Sistema’s children’s orchestra in Venezuela.
In the U.S, Manuela learned English in 8 months at the University of Southern Mississippi where she also received her master’s degree in Violin Performance. She is a passionate educator and chamber musician but she also loves to play jazz and modern music.
Manuela is a founding member of the Kahlo String Quartet and she is currently a string teacher at the Philadelphia School District.
Manuela believes that music is one of the most powerful tools to connect with people around the world and when not performing or teaching, you can find her salsa dancing.
